Why are the Tibetans protesting again?

Can't they protest peacefully? Is the spiritual leader Dalai Lama behind all this unrest? The Tibetans ( some monks in robe) were looting, wielded stones and knives against police in the recent pro independence protest. Aren't they asking for trouble?
It has been almost 50 years of adminstrative rule by China since the exile of their leader in 1959. I'm beginning to have doubts in the Tibetans leader in exile for his intention which he so claimed wanted more autonomy in the region, and not independence. Spiritual Leader? Yes he is! But one with ill intentions after all this years of blood shed against China.

What would the Americans do if a native American Indian Chief wanted their country back and started protesting against the white people for their unwanted invasion?

更新2:

People tend to like Freedom- and hate the oppressive and monstrous system that is communism.

The Buddhist tried protesting peacefully, then China banned their belief of reincarnation because they didn't have a permit (only communists would do something so absurd) Last year, thats what really started it- China set-up their own Chinese friendly Dali-lama as a puppet- that didn't sit to well with the Buddhists, because the Dali-Lama is what Jesus is to Christan's and Jews, or what Darwin is to atheists.

In a nut-shell, you don't mess around with a major religions main figure, and not expect them to get completely pissed over it.

Tibetans do not like the Chinese stealing there country.did you know that the Chinese government is bringing in colonists and giving them special treatment over the Tibetans. the monks are the leaders of the tibetan people and have been for thousands of years

They are protesting again because they are not living in freedom under Chinese "administrative" rule.

Appearantly you have not read up on the situation between Tibet and China. Tibet, formerly an independent country, was illegally invaded and taken over by China. What is there not to understand that the Tibetans want the Chinese out and their country back.

Maybe they don't like being ruled by communist China? Duh? It's not as if Tibet decided to become part of China on their own, you know. There is a slow-motion genocide going on in Tibet, the Chineese are trying to repopulate Tibet with Chineese, like Stalin did with the Ukraine.

Sometimes peaceful protest is ineffective, especially in areas of communism.

Can you really judge a situation by what you see on CNN or NBC?
Obviously they feel the need to protest oppression by the Chinese. Would you not do the same if a foreign power was in your country?
You should look at the broader issues before jumping to conclusions.

Peaceful demonstration only works when the opposing force doesn't want to kill.
Since China has already proven a willingness to kill to force submission, there can be no peaceful protest.
How stupid is it to think that any attempt to do so would be more than just mass suicide?!!

As for the American Indians - China does not give the people of Tibet a monthly government check simply for being a Tibetan

Did you really get the facts to support what you are talking about? It seems not, sadly. Tibetan led by monks recently, first of all, staged a peaceful demonstration on last Tuesday and later turned into violent after Chinese security forces were cracking down. Now bottom line is that Tibetans who are still inside Tibet under communist China were demanding independence of Tibet, by waving Tibet flags and burning Chinese flags. And whatever you might have watched either on TV or read anything in the papers, you have still failed to get the real picture behind the protest. You should also know that Dalai Lama is not behind sin uch protest at all, whatever the communist China is claiming. If you were under communist China's rule, not in a position to enjoy even the basic human rights, how do you express your feeling if you happen to be Tibetan. Now do you know that why did communist China let every foreigner to leave Tibet, only to blackout any real news with regard to the protest. When you watch the TV especially from CCTV, you cannot get a real picture of Tibet other than simply looting etc. So you should better watch BBC, CNN or other standards TV station to get the right information other than propaganda news to brainwash your mentality.
