How to print or save the screen?

Window XP how to print or save/ copt the screen?
I was try to use the "print screen" from the keyboard, however no respon.
I am not talking about the IE or MS office, if in the web site or MS office I know how to print.
I am talking about the desk top screen.
Thanks a lot.

My note book did not have "print screen" key..... what can I do?

After you press printscreen, window has made a copy of that current screen. In order to see it, you needed to paste it on paint board or word, window think of printscreen is copying a screen pictures, all you needed to do is paste it on somewhere. I also use window xp, and I got many picture by pressing printscreen and paste it on my paint board and Micosoft Word.

But everytime you press printscreen, it make a new copy, if there are many screen that you wanted to picture, you should paste the picture first and then make a new printscreen later, it will rewrite the pervious saved screen data if you press printscreen twice.

1 ~Open word file
2 ~ Select print screen or Ctrl and C button
3 ~Back to word
4 ~Select Ctrl and V then you can see what you save on word, then you can print
