what should i eat to put on weight???

hi all, im 21 years old ,5'7 tall. But my weight is only 49kg and im kind of skinny.recently im working under pressure with stress. actually i want to put on weight on my legs and hands.
But the bad thing is i have no time to concentrate my mind on food.Means im really busy with my scedule. can anyone please advice me how can i put on weight.

1.what should i eat and drink
2.is it ok to take a weight gain powder?

Sometimes it is easier to drink calories than to eat them when you are busy or stressed or whatever. Try drinking milk if you like it and yes, if you can stand them, go for the shakes. I had to gain weight and it took forever, about six months to gain ten pounds but I forced myself to eat a ton on the weekends when I could just watch movies and pig out. I know, it wasn't healthy, but it was the only thing that worked. But during the week, I find it hard to keep the weight on unless I drink high calorie drinks and take a lot of vitamins. Try ensure if you can.

KFC querter pack with large fries and large pepsi a few times a week may help. Even better get a 5 peice pack and large fries.

Its because you're putting your body into a starvation mode. Your body thinks that somethings going wrong, and is conserving and holding onto all the weight it can. Also, potato's, and cereal, are carbs. And you need to eat more then just that. Your body won't lose weight just stop eating. You'll gain weight. Try an actual diet, and some exercise if you want to lose.

Perhaps plenty of nuts might help as they contain about 600 calories per 100 gm.

Ok, don't lisen to the people telling you to gain weight by eatting KFC or anything infront of you.

If you really want to gain weight, there is healthy and unhealty ways of doing it. Talk to your general care doctor, they can find what will best work for you.

You should first have a physical with your doctor and some blood tests done to make sure you don't have any illnesses or parasitic diseases that may be preventing you from gaining weight. You should go on a high carb diet, with adequate amounts of proteins and fats. It is ok to take a weight gain powder provided that you drink plenty of water. You will need to exercise regularly and allow yourself plenty of rest in between. Weight training is the best way to put bulk on your arms and legs.

I have had to do the same thing for sports in high school. To put on some weight you want to eat carbohydrates. such as potatoes, rice, oats, pasta and whole grains like bread etc... Fruit Juices are good to drink as they are usually high in carbs and can provide you with energy. pasta really works though i have tried it before. i would stay away from the weigh gain powder but if you want something that works well to build muscle drink protein shakes they are an excellent way to build up some muscle and weight. good luck!

Umm im only 13 and i dont really know but why dont you just eat lots of fatty foods like take out and stuff. And eat chocolate and drink bad drinks like coke and stuff.

Putting on weight when you're skinny makes you look a little chubby. Just exercise and work out to get muscles. Muscles weigh much more than fat and are quite appealing to the eye.
