公立醫院醫護人員可以收受禮物嗎？

病人可否因在公立醫院中得到護士或其他工作人員的照顧而送利是給他/她們以示多謝？

答︰
根據【防止賄賂條例】第4條，公共機構僱員除非事先得到機構的書面許可，否則不可以因為公事上的關係而索取或收取任何利益

Absolutely not. Whatever gift or money received by the medical or the nursing staff, they need to give the gifts up to the hospital charity fund, or they will be prosecuted ( especially if their colleagues know about this and become jealous!)
A card or note sent to the corresponding staff will do. But if you want them to be truly grateful, send the card to the hospital's patient coordinator, so that the staff's department can know about it --- and then the staff will be properly complimented by his or her boss!
