Hot countries are rich in light energy because light energy can be converted to heat energy in material(light provides energy for particles to collide, the collisions of the particles release heat energy). The more light absobed by the material, the easier the material become hot.

As white painted buildings reflect all types of visible light, less light energy can be absobed by the buildings, and the buildings can be cooler.

熱的城市光能充裕,因為光能可被物質轉化為熱能(光為粒子碰撞提供能量,粒子的碰撞釋出熱能). 越多的光被物料吸收,物料便越容易熱.

若建築物被塗上能反射所有可見光的白色物料, 建築物便會吸收較少的光能,建築物就不會過熱.
