It is clear to see the difference of God being presented in the Book of Judges and the Book of Judith. God presents actively in the Book of Judges. God plans all the things ahead and tells the Israelites what His plan is. On the other hand, God presents passively in the Book of Judith. God only hears the prayers from Judith and the Israelites and accept their prayers. The reason for the difference of presenting God is the author’s nationality. The Book of Judges is originally written in Hebrew and it appears in the Christian Old Testament. The Book of Judith is written in Greek and it appears in the Apocryphal. The book of Judith is also considered as a historical novel, and some of the details are fictitious. For example, Nebuchadnezzar is apparently never the King of Nineveh.

God only heard the prayers from Judith and the Israelites, and only accepted their prayers (instead of planning things for them to follow). The reason for the different presentation of God was due to the authors' nationalities.
