first you need to find 32% of 12.45
to find a percentage divide by 100 and then multiply by the percent you need:

100% = 12.45
1% = 12.45/100 = .1245
32% = .1245 * 32 = 4

Now you know that 4 is 32% of 12.45 so all you need to do is subtract 4 from your original number:

12.45 - 4 = 8.45

Your answer is 8.45

In this kind of question, try this.

100% - 32% = 68% (you want to find what's left over after you subtract 32%, right?)

Now find 68% of 12.45:

12.45 * (.68) = 8.466
2008-03-11 3:51 pm
12.45 x 68 / 100 = 8.466

The 68 is 100% minus the 32% that you are taking away

12.45 x .32 = 3.984

12.45 - 3.984 = 8.466
