1 Sha tin is in new territories. It is a new town and therefore it's far away from urban areas.2There is no MTR nearby but you still can take Tsuen Wan line and drop off in Tsuen Wan station.Then get change a taxi.
3 I don't think so. Taking MTR can save a lot on transport cost. And there is a disney line.For detail, you might ask the staff inside the station.They can understand the English.

1) Yes, pretty far from the main Hong Kong City.
2) The nearest MTR Station is Tsuen Wan but the nearest rail station is Sha Tin Wai KCR Station, which is also part of the MTR system currently, which is a station belongs to the Ma On Shan Rail Line.
3) Taxi makes more sense since you have 4 adults traveling together. The trip to Disney from Sha Tin is pretty troublesome and not worth the fuss by taking the MTR.
