This Law ensure everybody in a close up area to have a fresh air environment, it get rid of the harzard of becoming a second hand smoker, it is a great news for those do not smoke, may give a reason for smoker to quit smoking. But that is about what I felt about the good point for banding smoking indoor.

Making such law, I saw bad more than good. I am not saying smoking is good, but since it was a freedom and a right for smoker to smoke before the Law has passed, all of a sudden, in October 2006 the government enact the law, the time for smoker to prepare is not enough, and smoker suddenly found themselves loss their smoker right indoor. Althought the law stated the only place you can smoke is outdoor, such as on street, but I felt being on street become more uncomfortable when there are more and more smoker smoking on street.

Take a look in Central, when most of the indoor area, especially in office, are used to be able to smoke, the sudden change cause every smoker must smoke on street, while you are working, can you really use smoking as an execute to leave the office? Does that mean you can only smoke at non-bussiness hour and must be on street? How about when it is rainning, do smoker smoke in a heavy rain? How do you define indoor for situation that involve grey area like bridge, is it under the bridge or on a bridge considered as indoor? Smoker cannot stand for not smoking too long, and all of this make smoker sneak in the back staircase or toilet to smoke.

There were many places in Mong Kok still allow people to smoke, although it is illegal now. Why do you think those place still allow smoker to smoke in the indoor given the law to prohabit smoking has already enacted?

Who or what type of people would go to play snookers most of the time? Can a place continue to survive without allowing customer who smoke?

If they bend smoker in the indoor area, are government going to pay for their profit loss? If not, then smoker would probably continue to smoke indoor in those area.

I felt the government had something up with doing that, they are trying to catch more smoker for some reason, maybe there target was the gangster, and given most gangster do smoke, government had more execute to get the gangster charged if they use this law.
