It is nice place to visit for both the Ancient cultures and beautiful scenery. Of course, there are plenty of shopping to do.Choose your destination by doing a lot of research. it is a big country.

Yes, China is a wonderful place to visit/live. Everywhere I have been in China has been rewarding and memorable.

China is pretty cool, u could get a lot of cheap stuff. Watch out for your wallet though, don't put your money in a wallet or else it's going to get stolen and also cell phone. Keep money everywhere in your pockets not like in the same place and also don't bring backpack. If you want to buy things, you should ask them for a cheaper price and if they don't give it to you then don't buy it and they will automatically let u buy it at the price you want. Usually it's like.. half the price they ask you for.

Sure China is a cool and wonderful place to travel. Visit the ancient capital cities in Beijing and Xi'an, enjoy the different minority cultures in Yunnan, take a river cruise in Yangtze River, see the pandas, there's a lot to do.......

They aren't freaking rascist/won't imprison you. If you are a tourist, they want you to have a good impression of their country. If you think they are going to hang tourists, look at their 2008 olympic preparations and see how much effort they put into just to try to impress foreigners.
Back to topic. China is a freaking cool place for shopping for pirated media. I used to buy like $1 movies when I lived there. I don't have much experience with night markets and stuff, but they sell tons of fake designer wear. Its really easy to get ripped off if you're not careful though.

in terms of shopping please if they ask u 500rmb tell them 100 tops 150 :) try not look so excited about the item ad walk away and u will see - make sure they will run and call u so it means u won the bargain but if not its ur basis that somehow they dont have a single profit from u and it will lead u the basis of costing to the next store

yeah, it's great. the big cities are great. I've been there.
