I very much think so. Cigarette smoke contains harmful chemicals that have been proven to cause lung cancer and cardiovascular disease. Many people died of smoking related illnesses every year. Pot smoke, on the other hand, has not been known to kill anyone. The fact that one product is legal whereas the other product is not has to do with politics. The tobacco lobby remains one of the most powerful in this country.

Well, marajuana is not usually smoked through something with a filter on it like a ciggarette because it is the THC that produces that "high" that people try to get when smoking it. Although most people will smoke more ciggarettes a day, one joint would be considered the equivalant of 6 ciggaretts. There are some that will argue this point because ciggaretts have many more additives in it that are harmfull such as fiberglass while marajuana is natural and smoked with out adding to it. Either way, when "smoke" is involved and something is taken into the lungs besides air, we are putting ourselves at risk for many problems down the line.

I would assume cigarettes are more harmful because addicts to nicotine tend to smoke all day, everyday.
