Two flagpoles are 7m and 10m tall
If the distance between the tops of two flagpoles is 10m
find the horizontal distance between them

Let x cm be the horizontal distance between them

x^2+(10-7)^2=10^2
x^2+9=100
x=開方91

the horizontal distance between them is 開方91 cm

10^2+(10-7)^2=distance^2
100+9=distance^2
distance=開方109
