Off duty cops are great for this too. They are more expensive, but give you a good relationship with your local police if there is a problem.

go to your local police dept.cops make great guards. why because they - one will be in uniform,two-they know what to look for..i.e.drugs,fake id's.etc.. and you can right them off on taxes as an employee. costs lots per hour,but worth it in the long run if you have had problems in the past.
