Do you feel physical pain from emotional hurts?

My heart has been broken and it actually hurts in my chest. A physical pain.

Yes I get that too especially when I'm mega stressed out, its a horrible dull cramping pain that feels like it spreads all around my torso, I think its because the muscles are so tense. I also get neck and back ache and a horrible headache that runs down the back of my head. Had all of these a lot lately and was really beginning to worry me but hadn't told anyone but now I've seen your question its put my mind at rest a bit.

Not only is emotional pain the worst, I believe its worse than physical pain, because eventually the physical pain goes away but emotioal pain necessarly does not. A broken leg heals as does a broken heart. But doctors and nurses can help mend your leg, but your heart is left to you ultimately to heal it yourself. Time sometimes is the only thing that helps, or makes the pain not as bad.

Yes, when i am distressed ,unhappy and hurt by something someone close to me have said my neck hurts which causes me headaches and my stomach hurts as well. It is stress that causes that. But i know what you mean with emotional pain, it is like your insides are twisting and when you sob it hurts as well. I hope you are not feeling like that today and i wish you a lovely weekend. Yes it does hurt physically...It happened to me too last week.
You can barely stand, limbs ache, U get terrible headaches. When you get emotionally there is a hormonal disbalance causing you to get physical pain (it's temporary though).

Absolutely .... when my bf broke my heart, my heart actually felt broken... I honestly thought I was going to die. But I didn't :) When my friend lost her mother she felt a lump in her throat and couldn't cry. Emotions are very powerful.

i just feel like i can never be happy and wonder why its happening to me and not someone else.
i feel like my heart is broken and like someone had punched me as hard as possible and sometimes cant breathe its that bad.

Yes, most definately. When I am anxious or worried, I get a terrible pain in my stomach, like someone has dropped a ton weight on it. And if I am really deeply upset about it, it's 100 times worse, where sometimes, I can't do anything but lay in bed.
Last night, I was stressed about something, and my head hurt, but like it would if i'd have had too much to drink, not like a headache.
Bad stuff.. but the only way to deal with it is to sleep, or just close your eyes for a few seconds, and think of what's good right now.

YES....usualy shoulder pain...and sometime stomac pain...stress can become very phisical ...

Yes its caused by the stress of the hurt. Go for a walk, get some fresh air and try to calm down. xxxx

i felt it in my heart

In my whole body mainly my stomach too feeling like not eating food, constant pain in my chest & stomach area
