why is George Washington importent for American Revolution?

George Washington was important because when someone choose him as the leader of the civil war,he beat their enemy by fig a way to beat them.which is attack their enemy at Christmas,because nobody would be ready to fight in such a holiday.then the peoples they choose him as the first president of the U.S.
