題目話係放大鏡,肯定係convex lens。而因為用於放大,所以image一定比object大,從convex lens的特性得知,image與object一定位於鏡的同一邊。由magnification=distance between image and lens/distance between object and lens
得知,distance between image and lens =9cm
所以distance between book and image = 9-3 = 6cm
答案係c ) 6cm

image distance/object distance = image size/object size = magnification
apply image distance/object distance =magnification
image distance / 3cm = 3
image distance = 9cm
so distance between the book and the image of the print is object distance + image distance = (3+9)cm = 12cm
