1. No, I do not believe in these advertisements. This is because they use the star persona effect of the stars to attract more people into joining their beauty centre for slimming programs.

2. I think beauty comes from inside. No matter what you look like, either tall or short, fat or slim, if you have a nice personality, people can see through the covers and feel your beauty from inside.

First of all, personally I don't think that the media should be blamed for spreading the trend in this incidence, even though the media really did something awful in other aspects.

For the commercial advertisements, the media is doing a business only. They need to advertisements to survive. The government should be blamed instead to allow these beauty organizations to put on misleading ads on the newspapers and TVs, which is totally out of control at the moment.

On the other hand, slim doesn't mean anything at all in terms of beauty. Heathly and being energetic is most important, along with knowledge and personality. There is no fun at all to see on the street all being skeletons. Is 肥肥 slim? No at all but all who remembers her will admit that she is healthy, energetic, knowledgable and has an appreciable personality.

A beautiful lady needs to look like a woman, at least. :)
