老師給的作文 (我應從哪方面入手?請幫幫手,急!謝!)

As everyone in Hong Kong knows, indecent photos were taken and published of several HK celebrities. All of society is judging the morals of the people in the photos as well as speculating how the people got hold of the photos to begin with. Another issue, just as relevant, is how the media has been playing up the incident to boost the sales of their publications. Had the media not blown this affair out of proportion, it would have died down long ago. Yet, instead of this, they continue to publish new photos that have been released as well as articles judging the morals of Gillian Chung Yan-tung and Edison Chen. Have the editors of the magazines and newspapers looked at their own morals, as they profit from these celebrities’ indiscretions?

Write a letter to the editor of the SCMP expressing your dissatisfaction with the way the media has been profiting from the exploitation of the celebrities in this latest scandalous affair.

Dear editor of SCMP,

Regarding the indecent photos being published recently, I have grave dissatifaction towards the way the media has dealt with this issue. To obtain their own profit advantage, they do not give attention towards the moral side of publishing these 'news' to the public.

As seen lately, more and more of the racy photos have contact our society. I am not arguing that the celebrities's acts were ethic and moral, but the way how the media has been reporting. Not only do they add scandals and made-up rumours to ruin the lives of these celebrities further, the paparazzi even wait outside the homes of these related celebrities, getting the fastest news on their latest moves, leaving them no privacy. It may be an entertaining gratification for the audience to read it but on the other hand, how would these celebrities feel? They pledged their guilty and hoped for the public's forgiveness. Why can't the media just give them a chance? This issue has been going on for several issues of magazines. If they had banned the focus on these 'private' issues, this crisis would have been forgotten long ago. .....
