Baroque and English fingering are the same but German fingering is different.
If your recorder is Baroque fingering one, you need to follow the Baroque fingering. Same case as German fingering recorder. If your recorder is a plastic one you can look at the back of the recoder. If a letter B is written, that recorder is a Baroque one. If a letter G is written, that recorder is a german one. A fingering chart always come together with a new recorder when you buy it. Another way to distinguish the two recorder is to look at the fifth hole on the recorder. If the hole is smaller, that is German recorder.
