the seeds of the garden pea are either yellow or green . A certain cross between progeny in the ratio 3 yellow :1 green. If four randomly chosen progeny of such a cross are examined, what is the probability that :
a) three are yellow and one is green?
b) all four are yellow?
c)all four are the same color?
plz show steps...thx

a) The possible combinations are as follows: GYYY, YGYY, YYGY and
YYYG, thus probability = 4(1/4)(3/4)(3/4)(3/4)=0.421875.
b) P(All four all yellow)=(3/4)^4=0.316406.
c) P(All four are same colour)=P(all are yellow) P(all are green)=0.316406 (1/4)^4=0.316406 0.003906=0.320313.
