jayanth is correct, but don't forget to subtract the 13.5 from 90. It comes out to be 90 - 13.5 = $76.50

It depends on how you phrased it. The amount of the discount is 0.15×90 = $13.50. The discounted amount is (1-0.15)90 = $76.50

hi!

just multiply $90.00 with 0.15

$90 x (1 - 15%)
= $90 x 85%
= $90 x 85/100
= $90 x 17/20
= $4.5 x 17
= $76.5

90 x (15% / 100%) = 13.5 dollars is your discount, so your discounted price will be 90 - 13.5 = 76.5 dollars

15/100=x/90

cross multiply (15*9)

then divide by 100

all together it is 13.5.

if something is 15% off of $90 then you would then subract (90-13.5)

your total would then be 76.5

too find out percentages divide amount by one hundred then multiply by percentage 90/100x15=13.5

13.5
15/100 * $90
0.15*$90 = $13.5
the price after discount will be $90 - $13.5
= $76.5

13.5 because its 90*.15=13.5 so its $13.50
