Use a combination of aerobic exercise and weight training.

A low fat diet with lot of exercise. When I wanted to lose weight I started walking three miles five days a week.

This will take a while. You don't put weight on overnight, and if you want to keep it off you will limit your weight loss to two pounds a week.

just use a treadmill for like half an hour each day. you dont even need to run, just walk. and to firm your thighs up, do some free squats or lunges.

You might want to try an exercise called a lunge, or you could try some "squat-jumps". They worked for me. Good luck : )
