The job of an accounts clerk in a CPA firm is to do the book-keeping works of the clients of this CPA firm. The work is the same as an accounts clerk in a company, writing up bank book, ledger and preparing financial statements under the instruction of a senior. If you are new in accounting, it is quite recommenable to do the work in a CPA firm. You can have the wide exposure to different clients with different kinds of business. This will be beneficial to you when you are going to seek an accounting work in a company in future if you wish. Moreoever, you can have a chance to be transferred to do the audit works and, you can take this opportunity to take a professional examination to become a professional accountant later on.
