Colorimetric investigation of the rate of reaction between bromine and methanoic acid
Q1.Why is it necessary to use carefully matched tubes in the colorimeter?
Q2.Why is the graph not absolutely straight even there are no experimental errors?
Thank you.

Q1. The carefully matched tubes enable the coloured substance held inside the tube will absorb maximum amount of monochromatic light produced from the light source. This can maximize the accuracy of the reading read from the colorimeter.
Q2. There are 2 reasons: Physically, the light source produced is not pure monochromatic. Chemically, there should not be any association and dissociation in the solution when using the colorimeter in an experiment.
I hope you will find them helpful.
