They're not a broker but www.smartmoney.com is a good one. For brokers, I like Scottrade because they have the lowest fees.

a free play money practice account with stock prices and dividends and other things the same as real life???? i doubt there is any, yes, there are online brokerages that let people open a free play money practice account but there's not much you can do with that account and it's usually good for 30 days or less only.

the whole idea of a "free play money practice account" is to let people test and see if they like that online brokerage firm, not to practice and polish your skills

I would be careful chasing the yield here. A lot of these money market funds are in asset backed commercial paper which is just a few notches above mortgage backed securities. None of them have broken the buck (yet) but a few ultra short term bond funds have blown up, and there is no Chinese wall between short term bonds and commercial paper.

Why would you want all of your assets in a money market account? There will always be a good stock pick, no matter the state of the market. To answer your question, interest rates often depend on the minimum deposit. I'd recommend Countrywide, which has 5.0% APY FDIC insured with min. $1,000 deposit.

Penny stocks are loosely categorized companies with share prices of below $5 and with market caps of under $200 million. They are sometimes referred to as "the slot machines of the equity market" because of the money involved. There may be a good place for penny stocks in the portfolio of an experienced, advanced investor, however, if you follow this guide you will learn the most efficient strategies https://tr.im/c8109
