A is twice as old as B and B is half as old as C .If the sum of their ages is 65

years,how old is A?

Let x be the age of C.
C + C*1/2 + (C *1/2*2) = 65
C + 0.5C + C=65
2.5C=65
C=26
Therefore the age of A
=65 - 26 - 26*1/2
=65 - 26 - 13
=26
So the age of A is 26 years old.
