It was Christmas eve, a poor girl at the street corner had been trying to sell lighters all day, but everyone was so busy preparing Christmas,she couldn't sell any of her lighters. The girl was hungry and cold, despite that she saw a lot of food inside the place (what place? be specific), she couldn't afford them because she had no money.

As she hopelessly set down and lit the lighter, she saw her mother and father (where?). "Mom...where are you? I feel so miserable" the girl said. Her mother replied, "Don't give up, darling" before disappearing in the fire. The girl wanted to talk to her mother so bad, so she lit the lighter again.

suddenly, a little bird fell down, the girl used the lighter to cook the bird. She didn't feel cold after she ate the bird, so she went on to sell lighters again.
