The Sung Wong Toi Rock is placed in Sung Wong Toi Park in Kowloon City, Hong Kong.
The rock got is name from the 3 Chinese characters inscribed on it, meaning "terrace of the kings of Song Dynasty". When the Mongols invaded China and overthrew the Song Dynasty, the last two boy kings of the dynasty fled to Hong Kong and lived here for a short time. After their death, local people inscribed the 3 characters on a small hill near the place where they lived in memory of the event.
During the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, the Japanese blew the hill into bounders to make way for the airport. Local people kept the bounder bearing the 3 characters. After the war, the rock was placed in the new Sung Wong Toi Park near the airport.
