其實rise和raise的分別是，raise是及物動詞，必需要有受詞；而rise是不及物動詞，不需要受詞。以下是【征服英語】的詳細解釋：


Rise 、 arise 、 raise 三 字 有 什 麼 分 別 ？
這 三 個 字 都 有 「 升 起 」 含 義 ， 但 raise 是 及 物 動 詞 （ transitive verb ） ， 其 後 必 須 有 受 詞 （ object ） ， rise 、 arise 則 是 非 及 物 動 詞 （ intransitive verb ） ， 其 後 不 可 有 受 詞 ， 所 以 ， 「 我 扶 他 站 起 來 」 是 I raised him to his feet ， 「 他 站 了 起 來 」 則 是 He rose to his feet ； 「 他 令 死 者 復 活 」 是 He raised the dead ， 「 他 死 而 復 活 」 則 是 He rose from the dead 。
Rise 和 arise 兩 字 有 時 通 用 ， 例 如 I rose / arose at 7 am （ 我 早 上 七 點 鐘 起
