Yes. However, you need to find the prime factors and 9 can further be factored into 3 and 3.

Then, the prime factors of 27 is 3 * 3 * 3 or 3^3 would better be an expression of 27.

when you are asked to find the factors of a number, usually you need to go all the way down to prime factors.

the best way to do this is to make a tree:
27
/ \
( 3 ) 9
..... / \
..... 3 3
therefore the factors of 27 are 3x3x3

Factors of 27 would be -
1x27
3x9
3x3x3

I do it like this
The basic numbers which can form factors are 2, 3, 5, 7 ...
now for example the factors of 36 are
2 | 36
````````
2 | 18
````````
3 | 9
````````
3 | 3
````````
| 1

Look at the Seq. The factors are
(2,18) , (4,9) , (12,3) , and (36,1)
2008-02-12 5:52 pm
27 = 1 x 27
27 = 3 x 9
----------------
Factors of 27 is:
1,3,9,27

1x27
3x9

thats all
