What do I do with shoes that are too big?

I bought some shoes that don't exactly fit like a glove. Is there anything I can do to fill in the space? Like insoles of some sort? I have been using socks to stuff the toe but its becoming unbearable. Please help! I CANT RETURN THEM, because I bought them online and they no longer carry the smaller size I need.

Go to a shoe shop and buy shoe paddings (here they sell the kind that are made to fit on the back of your feet or the front of your shoes, and they are sticky on one side so that they stick to the shoes without coming off). They're comfortable, too.
