im working on a school project i dug up some dirt in my backyard nothing too deep over the top stuff
anyway i dumped it in my basement over night and went back to it about 20 minutes ago and im digging it up with my hands and all of a sudden i hit something harder than the dirt and i felt a small pinch in my hand
now nothing happenend for about 10 seconds but all of a sudden it started to bleed and it took me a while to stop it
not a huge cut just a small rip but it still was bleeding pretty well.
Is it possible i was bitten or was it just a sharp stick or something like that. Im kind of worried. Overnight in a basement though. So could it be a small snake or a beetle? Or should i stop worrying
Help please i think i got bitten by something ASAp?

Most likely you probably just cut yourself. Wash the cut with plenty of warm water. Put antibiotic ointment on it and then bandage it. If the cut area becomes swollen or turns red and if the pain intensifies, go see a doctor.

Most bites, look like bites. Most cuts look different than bites. Clean it up good, put on some topical antibiotic (neosporin ointment) and a bandage. Take a benadryl as a precaution and if you get feverish, redness and or swelling, or show other signs of pain or fatigue, get to the ER.

Clean it very thoroughly, soak in peroxide and if it is swollen and looks infected or a red line is moving up your arm, get medical help pronto. Next time use a shovel and wear gloves :o)

Ask someone to have a look at where you got bitten to see what it was.
