Hi;
Your question is not very detail but I guess, you are trying to connect two different home based router together, right?
Let's say, you have two routers (R1) and (R2), which R1 is for connecting to a ADSL or Cable modem for internet access, R2 is connecting to R1 for sharing the same ISP but different LAN segment. Here is what you can do...
For example;
R1 is serving 192.168.0.x network
R2 is serving 192.168.1.x network
1. Connect WAN port on R1 to ADSL/Modem.
2. Connect WAN port on R2 to LAN port on R1.
3. LAN ip on R1 can be 192.168.0.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0
4. Assign a static ip for R2's WAN port, such as 192.168.0.254, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1 (which is the LAN ip of R1).
5. All workstations connecting to R2 should be on the same LAN segment which is 192.168.1.x.
In this case, your workstation connecting to R2 can access to internet through R1.
