✔ 最佳答案
5/8 = 1/4 - 1/2p

subtract 1/4 from both sides

3/8 = -1/2p

multiply both sides by -2

-6/8 = p

-6/8 = -3/4 = p

Brackets MUST be used.
5/8 = 1/4 - (1/2) p
5 = 2 - 4p
4p = - 3
p = - 3 / 4

5/8 = 1/4 - 1/2p
p/2 = 1/4 - 5/8
p/2 = 2/8 - 5/8
p/2 = -3/8
p = -6/8
p = -3/4

5/8 = 1/4 - 1/2p
1/2p = 1/4 -5/8 ( the common denominator is 8 )
1/2p= -3/8 ( divide by half)
p= -3/4 (final answer)
