How did your parents choose your name?

They looked in a book of african names that they used for my older sister as well...
They actually took their sweet time picking a name lol. I was a few months old before they decided. Until then, they just called me "sister girl!" :P

Hello Sam Dont know but they liked the name. So did hundreds of others -- its common ?& popular.

My english name get from my father My chinese name got from my mother

The day my mom gave birth to me, some people visited her in her room in the hospital and some random guest suggested my name .... my dad said ok we'll use that and so became the lamest story of how one got their name. (I can't believe my parents never made up a better story to at least make me feel better about my name)

well my mom was too depressed after my dads death so my gramma named me. she didn't necessarily name me after anyone, she just loves the name because shes french and its very european. though they both did decide on the spelling of my name because its different than everyone elses-madolyn

my dad is teacher. and heard about Scientist name " charles Darwin". so that my name choose this name for me.

when Bill Clinton was president in 1993 and my mom needed a name for me so she decided to name me after his daughter.

I was not there so I can only Assume that they Picked my Name specifically because it is the Same Name that My Father Had until He Died.

I was going to be named after my mom's uncle Sam, but they decided to make me a junior because they didn't think Sam fit me.
