Wage
In labor and finance settings a wage may be defined more narrowly to include only cash paid for some specified quantity (measured in units of time) of labor. Wages may be contrasted with salaries, with wages being paid at a wage rate (based on units of time worked) while salaries are paid periodically without reference to a specified number of hours worked. Once a job description has been established, wages are often a focus when negotiating an employment contract between employer and employee.
Salary
A salary is a form of periodic payment from an employer to an employee, which is specified in an employment contract. It is contrasted with piece wages, where each job, hour or other unit is paid separately, rather than on a periodic basis.
From the point of a view of running a business, salary can also be viewed as the cost of acquiring human resources for running operations, and is then termed personnel expense or salary expense. In accounting, salaries are recorded in payroll accounts.

According to the Cambridge Online Dictionary,

Wage (noun, singular) refers to a fixed amount of money that is paid, usually every week, to an employee, especially one who does work that needs physical skills or strength, rather than a job needing a college education:

a very low/high wage
an hourly/daily/weekly/annual wage
He gets/earns/is paid a good wage, because he works for a fair employer.

On the other hand, salary (noun, [C or U]) refers to a fixed amount of money agreed every year as pay for an employee, usually paid directly into his or her bank account every month:
an annual salary of £20 000
His net monthly salary is £1500.
She's on quite a good/decent salary in her present job.
He took a drop in (= accepted a lower) salary when he changed jobs.
a 10% salary increase

We can therefore know that these two words refer to different time frames.

To my knowlege, wages means more about the money paid per day to a worker. Salary describes more about the monthly payment.

That is, if someone is paid $200 a day and he works for 20 days a month, he will be paid $4,000 his wages. If he worked for 22 days that month, he will be paid $4,400.

On the other hand, if someone was hired as a clerk for $7,000 per month. No matter how many official working days in that particular month is, he will be paid $7,000.
