Short Description
This programme aims to produce qualified professionals who provide physiotherapy services to promote the health of clients, and to meet the healthcare needs of society. Graduates possess the knowledge, skills and professional attitudes that are required for the reliable, ethical and effective practice of physiotherapy. As lifelong learners and active consumers of the professional and scientific literature, graduates are able to fulfil their roles in developing the profession through continuing education and/or participating in investigative and evaluative projects. Their sense of social and professional responsibility is further recognised by their efforts to educate clients, the public and the next generation of therapists.

HKCEE Requirements
Grade E or above in one of the following subjects:
Maths, Additional Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Science, Biology or Human Biology
Requirements other than HKALE/HKCEE
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to communicate effectively in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
Applicants should normally be fit and able to fulfil the physical requirements of physiotherapy practice

Calculation of Scores for applicants with more than 1 sitting in HKALE
All HKALE and AS-level subjects attempted, including the AS-level Use of English and Chinese Language & Culture, will contribute towards the admissions score. The best grade for a subject will be taken in the calculation of the score in case of multiple attempts. A factor of 0.6 will be applied to AS-level attainments. For language programmes, the AS-level languages subjects are given a factor of 1.
