1) Walk up to him when he's alone, ask him if he likes me and wait for his reply.

2) Walk up to him when he's alone, ask him if he has something to tell me, and wait for his reply.

3) Walk up to him when he's alone, tell him that I like him, take his hand up, write down my number, and run away.

4) Continue with the game of gaze and wait for him to approach one day.

P.S. We are both interested in each other but none of us has the guts to show it except his friend(s). This has been going on for almost 6 months.

Number 3, without the running. You are obviously nervous about it, and I'm sure he is too. The best thing is just to be straightforward and mature about it. Something like, "Look, you probably know I like you. We've been throwing each other looks for a while now. We should talk on the phone tonight. Why should we avoid each other? It's silly." A familiar, friendly manner with a cute smile wouldn't hurt, either. The trick is to fool yourself into feeling totally comfortable with it (and yourself) beforehand. It may shock him to death for a girl to be so up front with him, but if he can take it, it will be a huge plus for you in his book. It will do a lot for your self confidence too.

Combination of 1 and 3: Walk up to him when he's alone, tell him you like him and ask if he feels the same. Take it from there. Leave out the part about running away, that's just playing games and you won't be taken seriously. Forget the gazing game, it will get you nowhere.
