Who is Craig, and why does everyone care so much about his list?

'Craig' is Craig Newmark. His list (www.craigslist.org) is an online classified ads service. You can place an ad within minutes that gets posted usually within 10 minutes. It's design is extremely simple, well-organized, and efficient. It's also free for the average user. I think it's one of the best ideas to have hit the web.

what's not to like about Craig's list? i have bought and sold a lot of stuff thru that website, and i didn't have to pay a listing fee or anything

eww craigslist is so gross...I never hear anything positive about it

craigslist is a great place to buy and sell things. you can find some great deals there, and sell things alot faster than some other methods.

i sold my car there, i had a call on it within 10 minutes of posting, and my brother also sold one of their cars with it when it had not sold on auto trader for months.


oh.... and its free.
