My heart has paplations really bad. Ive just been "dealing with this condition" for over 6 months as i have no insurance and i am a single parent of 2 kids but it seems to be getting worse. It feels like i can't catch my breathe and when i am realxing, it still feels like i am running a marathon. what could it be? I got dignosed with hyperactive thyroid 2 weeks ago but i am not on meds cuz of the thyroid cause i have to be ssen first on the lymp nodes on my thyroid.

Sounds like the precursor warning signs of arterial blockage and/or heart disease. It could be your thyroid throwing off your hormonal balance, but I wouldn't think it'd be the soul cause of the heart palapatations.
The heart inefficiently pumps blood, therefore making the heart work doubly hard to be efficient, and pump blood to the necessary areas of your body.
When the heart can not do this, it's usually caused by a blockage, murmer, or under-developed artery/valve/muscle.

My suggestion would be to take the warning signs, and no matter if you have insurance or not, go to the ER, or at the very least, make an appt with your physician.

I know you're worried about how you're going to pay for this b/c of no insurance, but rest assured, you don't want to leave your two babies with someone else if you're dead, right? Do you have a will? Have you thought about who gets the kids if you die?? These are things you've got to think about, and I'd much rather have a huge doctor bill, than a huge funeral bill. Know what I mean?? You can always just pay $10 / month toward the doc bill, and they can't say a word to you about not paying.

I by no means am meaning to sound like I'm trying to scare you. This is simply my way of trying to warn you to take this seriously. My Grandmother died at 57 of congestive heart failure, and us single Mama's gotta stick together, right? ;-)

Good luck!

Hyperthyroidism is characterized by hypermetabolism and elevated serum levels of free thyroid hormones. Symptoms are many but include tachycardia (abnormally rapid heart rate), fatigue, weight loss, and tremor. Diagnosis is clinical and with thyroid function tests. Treatment depends on cause.
Beta-blockers like propranolol are used to treat some of the symptoms including rapid heart rate, sweating, and anxiety until the hyperthyroidism can be controlled.
Consult an Endocrinologist.

Oh my goodness. Your thyroid controls so many functions in your body and with you having these problems with your heart you simply must seek help immediately. Surely you can find someone to watch your children for a bit while you go there. If not, contact someone from your church or a neighbor. Your children need you healthy and you are way too young to go untreated. A lot of damage can be done while you go without treatment. Please go at once. God Bless. Jan

No doubt the hyperactive thyroid is to blame for this. You really need to be under doctor's treatment for this condition. Have you told your doctor about this?? I absolutely think you should. This is very relevant to your doctor correctly diagnosing you.

Anxiety can cause heart palpatations (you are describing some panic symptoms) - but a hyperactive thyroid with absolutely cause palpatations. I had thyroid nodes, too, without much incident. All of these conditions are relatively benign and very treatable. Just make sure you share with your doctor your problems.

Hunny, I don't think so, sounds like panic attacks something alot of us women go through when the stress is just to much, you might want to see if you can get on what we call here Access from the DES office to help with your medical. If the palps continue will need to return to the emergency room.
