I'm too old. So, no.
Only if my job consisted of sitting behind a desk the whole time. No joke.
Asthma is an allergy and is triggered by something. The best non medication treatment for asthma is learning your triggers and avoiding them. Common triggers are smoke, dust, mold, mildew, plants, dust mites, pets and grass/weeds. If you can not figure our your triggers, you may need to see an allergist and have allergy screening done. This may point out your triggers. The National Asthma Prevention Program and the Expert Panel of Diagnosis and Management of Asthma both agree if you have to use a prescription inhaler such as albuterol more then two time per week, your asthma is NOT in control and you will need a prescription controller medication. Controller medications are steroids (Asthmacort Asthmanex, Flovent, Pulmocort), Leukotriene modifier (Singulair, Aculade, Zyflo) or mast cell stabilizers (Cromolyn sodium, Intal, Tilade). You may want to talk to your doctor about several strong controller medications and maybe Xolair shots. If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.
I would want to join the Army
neither I like the Marine better but I ave to say Army. there is Army and the Is Strong. Army Strong.
Gulf war 1...I enlisted...but before I got past my psychical, 6 week later I was 35, and they would not allow that at that time.
I did not like any country invading another, and so felt compelled to show that disapproval, by fighting. I nearly got called up for Cambodia in 1975 when they seized the Miaguiez of the coast they sent me a notice to report to Oakland but then call it off. my family has fought in every war since 1632 upon arrival in America the other 1/2 of my family was here long before that...and was none too happy at the 1632 new comers.....
Been there, done that. I am a Army Veteran. I recommend it for any woman who is not afraid to take on tasks and work hard. It is a challenge but well worth the hard work basic and AIT are worth. I did so much traveling overseas that I could have never afforded at that time in my life without being in the military.
So yes, I recommend it to anyone who is seriously thinking of committing.
Never, the Navy is too lax, and the Army is too complacent.
Yes under normal circumstances, my family has a proud background and history in the US Navy. I would be hard pressed right now with the current administrations misguided and careless actions to join.
I thought about it but before I could join, I was drafted, but lucky for me I did not have to go. The Viet Nam war was over.
I considered it after High School but I'm over the age limit now....
:o)
