Yes. This can have a negative effect on your health. Bacterial action on a person's sweat will release harmful chemicals such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and urea which are all poisonous. Even though these chemicals are present at a very low concentration, they can negatively impact your health if you are exposed to them for extended periods of time. Having to endure bad odors for long periods of time most likely will also increase the level of stress hormones in your body (epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol), resulting in elevation in blood pressure and heart rate.
The solution to your problem is simple. Talk to your roommate about it, or bring this to the attention of your resident manager and let him mediate the situation. In the meantime, go get a HEPA filtration system. This will remove most if not all the bad odors.

yes it could be dangerous to your health,every time you 2 are in the room tgether you inhale all the bacteria that comes off this guy once it gets airborne..imagine the bacteria and parasites this guy carries if his b.o is so bad that it make you wana throw-up..you should tell him to adress it or ask for a switch in rooms
