✰Does saying, "Are you okay?" make things worse or better?

i think it makes things better
because they might think you really care about someone

It depends on the sitchuation.But for the most part the Q is irrelivant cause if not there is nada you can do if yes still notathing.

For me? Worse... it's like, either I'm okay, and thus get twitchy when people ask me about it, or I'm not okay, in which case I usually make it plainly obvious that I'm not okay... although if they're sincere about it I usually don't mind.

That is a two way questions . One is asked someone but they sometime worse sometime better

I think it makes things better. Shows that u truly care for that person, and make them feeled a sense of love. It gives them a chance to express their emotions too.
So I stand by it, it makes things better :]

If I'm on the brink of crying & someone asks "are you okay?" then I usually I break down & cry. I think it's the fact that someone cares enough to ask & you feel their compassion. Sometimes it's best to cry to get it out. It just sucks crying in front of others.

If I'm crying, do I look okay? And I really don't need you recognizing that I'm crying and pointing it out.

It can be both good and bad. Good in a way that it may give you the opportunity to get something off your chest if someone wants you to talk about. But I really don't like it when someone asks if you're okay, when it's very very obvious that you're not.

Sometimes it makes me feel worse. But those times I really just need to be alone.
