i have some questions about Metal leaft electropscope:
-how to construct a simple 1?
-where will the negative charges and positive charges go?
-why will the aluminum foil leaves open?
-where do the e- go and why?
do i have to put conductor and insulator in it and why?

There are lots of plans online, see below.The electroscope works, reacts, when too many charges are placed on its conductive surface. It's a bit like crowding too many people onto the metro. Since similar charges repel each other the light weight leaves will push apart.
