✔ 最佳答案
10(–x – 7) + 20 = –5(2x + 4)
Distributive property:
-10x - 70 + 20 = -10x - 20
Combine like terms:
-10x - 50 = -10x - 20
Add 10x to both sides:
-50 = -20

Since this can never be true, there is no solution.

-10x - 70 + 20 = - 10x - 20
- 10x - 50 = - 10x - 20
Has no solution !!!!

First distribute to get rid of the parentheses.
-10x - 70 + 20 = -10x - 20.....combine terms
-10x -50 = -10x -20

Did you copy this correctly?

10(-x - 7) + 20 = -5(2x + 4)
10*-x - 10*7 + 20 = -5*2x - 5*4
-10x - 70 + 20 = -10x - 20
-10x - 50 = -10x - 20
-10x + 10x = 50 - 20
2008-02-02 1:44 am
10(-x-7)+20=-5(2x+4)
-10x-70+20=-10x-20 distribute/multiply the 10 and -5 to the #s in the parentheses
-10x-50=-10x-20 simplify
-10x+10x-50=-10x+10x-20
-50=-20 -50 never could equal -20 so this sentence is untrue

10(–x – 7) + 20 = –5(2x + 4)
divide both sides by 5 so you get some smaller answers:
2(- x - 7)+4= - (2x+4)
Then you can apply the distributive property:
-2x-14+4=-2x-4
Now just solve by adding 2x,14,0 to both sides
I know, you get:
-14=-8
or something like that.
The answer is, no solution or undefined.
If you get 0=0, it is also undefined
