i have to make an activity for some 1st grader that has to do with any subject. What activity can i make?

go to www.atozteacherstuff.com then go to the lesson tab at top and either type in a subject or browse through. It will tell you what grade it is for and whether it is a lesson or poem or art project. Depending on when you are to do it you could make it for Valentines Day. Or you could do an activity for parts of a flower... In MO it is a Grade level expectation for 1st grade... Have students cut out construction paper in the shape of their hands. Need enough to make the flower (about 5 hands) and to make leaves (2) and roots (2) so about 9-10 total. Then a circle for the flower center and a long strip for the stem. then they assemble it and lable parts. Flower, stem, leaves, roots...

Whatever activity you choose, be SURE that it is education based. You could play a game (math oriented?) or sing a song(to review an objective in class) or read a book (Dr. Seuss books are fun) - just be sure that it is within the scope of the child's level (age 5-6) and relates to the curriculum of that state, district and school.
But the most important thing is to enjoy what you are teaching this child. Remember, this little one is looking up to you for guidance and help. Smile and be helpful. This may be "just an assignment for some class" for you, but for this child, you represent that awesome person called a teacher.
The activity - choose something YOU like to do. Do you like to sing? Teach a song. Like to do art? Do a cut and paste activity. Like to read? Read a story to the child and take "parts" in the story, acting it out. You take a part too! Have some props with your story. Make it fun -
