SURVEY: Would you kill one person to save a thousand?

In a strategy game like, Warcraft, yes.

In real life how would you convince me, that this is the only option. How am I to kill. Are there two buttons, one marked,
one, the other one thousand. Do I have to chase him down with a big stick & club the life out of him, because someone said, thats him there, get him. I am not a mercenry, I don't want, causeing suffering, to be my intent. So, it's a big ask.
Who is the one, have they already saved, ten thousand.
Is it my own child. Is it someone universaly despised.
My answer is I could, I don't know if I would.
Sometimes I feel like I could kill, just for cutting me of in traffic.
So catch me in the right mood, I'm your man.
It just wouldn't sit well with me, for the rest of my life.

is the person I'm going to kill good or bad? how bout the people I'm trying to save?
if the people I'm going to save is just a bunch of immoral person, better have one immoral person than a thousand.
