i need to run faster how?

i have to run the 100 yard dash tommorow in school and i need to place please help me get faster in a day

I have been running for 8 years now and this is what I would recommend for you:

I would strengthen the core: calves, quads, hams, back and abdominal (the "six pack" muscles along with the obleks), chest and arms. But when strengthening these muscles, I would focus more on the muscle bulk and strength not the muscle endurance. For more advice for this, I would consult with a personal trainer. For the running part, I would stay flexible as it helps/contributes to your balance (so do the muscles in your core) but also helps prevent some injuries like pulled muscles and shin splints. Also, I would try to make up a schedule where you can run for X amount of days and try to have X amount of runs. And in most cases, you must increase the muscle tolerance to see some sort of improvement. Make sure you have the following: a good diet, hydration, sleep, a good sense on how to take care of your body, and sleep. Good Luck!!!

impossible really. only thing now is to tell you to eat healthy and no fatty foods. also when you start-get a good stance. when you shoot out stay low. move your arms quickly and run on your balls of your feet. thats about it.

in football we learn running techniques (takes some practice)
first is running like your holding a chip between your fingers
lengthen ure strides
pump arms like ure hammering something behind u, arms should come straight up then down keep them close to body
push off on your toe like there is a nail in your toe and u have to yank it out
practice these and you should do better, but u should talk to ure coach also about tecniques

do calve and thigh exercises
i hate to say it ,but you cant be fast in a day, you have to practice a lot to run fast and exercise ur legs)

buy pure cafeine take a spoon full and put it in orange juice...wait 1 hour and you will have a more explosive 100 m time...i promise you...but if you get tested you can get disqualifyed because cafeine is a drug and under the olympic foundation if you take more than 8 cups of coffee it is considered as an unfair advantage...good luck
