點解原始色唔可以比賽？

翻閱了數本“迷你品”的書籍和幾間狗會的網站皆未能找出確實資料有關迷你品”的原始顏色是哪一種。

在１７世紀畫像中紅色被毛；體積大小像家貓的小動物被認為是“迷你品”的最早記載。

而現時較為嚴格的美國狗會 American Kennel Club 所承認的參賽“迷你品”顏色如下 ~

Solid Clear Red 紅色：this is the most common color, varying from a dark rusty red to a color that is almost tan. Color should be rich and vibrant. A medium to dark shade is preferred.

Stag Red 褐紅色：Red with intermingling of black hairs. Color should be rich and vibrant. A medium to dark shade is preferred.

Chocolate and Tan 朱古力/黃褐色：Chocolate with rust-red markings the same as specified for blacks, except brown pencil stripes on toes.


Black and Tan 黑/黃褐色：Black with sharply defined rust-red markings on cheeks, lips, lower jaw, throat, twin spots above eyes and chest, lower half of forelegs, inside of hind legs and vent region, lower portion of hocks and feet. Black pencil stripes on toes.

其他國家狗會如：英國狗會 The Kennel Club、加拿大狗會 Canadian Kennel Blub、澳洲狗會 Australian National Kennel Council和紐西蘭狗會 New Zealand Kennel Club等，除了承認以上顏色之外，同時也承認藍色品種。

現時最普遍的顏色。
由褐紅色演變而成。

Stage Red 褐紅色 -
紅色中攙雜黑色毛發。

Chocolate & Tan 朱古力/黃褐色 -
帶褐紅斑紋的情況與黑/黃褐色品種的情況一樣，只是足趾上的條紋是啡色。

Black & Tan 黑/黃褐色 -
黑色帶明顯的黃褐色斑紋分布在臉頰，
嘴唇，下頜，喉嚨，眼眉和胸口，
前腿下半部分，後腿內側，足踝下部
和足爪。足趾上有黑色條紋。

失格：
除列出的顏色以外，其他任何顏色皆為失格。
指斑（前腿腳腕到腳之間部分的正面，在黑色斑塊外包一圈鐵鏽紅。如果是朱古力色；斑塊顏色是朱古力色）。
身體任何部分出現多於半英寸的白色斑塊。

　藍色 - 美國狗會不承認的顏色


網上流傳“巧克力色屬於原始色，無法比賽”的說法相信只是基於翻譯上的錯誤。
