Go over someone's head

1.攀越上司 (to deal with someone at a higher level)
Example: I would occasionally go over my manager's head to complain to the top financial officer.（我有時會不理上司，直接向高層投訴）

2. 令（某人）不明白 (to fail to understand something)
Example: She was being sarcastic, but he took her seriously — the joke totally went over his head. （她只不過在諷刺，但他竟然當真。他完全get不到那笑話）


English or continental?

1. 可以係問：（你是）英國人或歐洲人？（英國人時常把他們和其他歐洲人分開。呢度既continental係指continental Europe既意思）

2. 亦可以係指：（你要）英式或歐式？
Example: English breakfast or Continental breakfast? 英式或歐式早餐？
英式早餐會比較豐富，歐式早餐比較簡單。
